May name is Farhya Adam. An Ethiopian, who became a Journalist out of passion; though, I am a Pharmacist by training.  After graduating from college, I worked as a pharmacist just for a couple of months before I changed my career to journalism. I have been working as a journalist at Nuralhuda Media, since 2016. Nuralhuda is a popular Afan Oromo media, broadcasting both on satellite channel and online platforms.

I passionately love writing. I can write on good ideas that have a greater benefit for the betterments of humanity. My favorite topic and special attention area is about women. I always strive to inform the world about life struggles of African women, particularly the untold story of my fellow Ethiopian women.   While Politics isn’t my interest; however, I may sometimes reflect ideas and opinions that are influenced by my faith. Nevertheless, my attention area is neither faith nor politics.

In my articles, I always give due respect to all the cultures and faiths. I never write discriminately on any society or groups based on their country, skin color, wealth status etc. rather I treat all human beings equally. In short, I write my own balanced thoughts and views about women, be it their strength or weakness or societal stereotypes and harmful practices about a women.

While expressing my personal views, I always prefer to skip ideas that are in contradiction with scientifically proven facts, as it may mislead my readers. I always try to substantiate my views with scientific evidences.

As a matter of fact and as it might be expected, views of my articles somehow cannot skip the influence of my environment where i brought up and my choice of readings. Hereby, I have to confess that I personally don’t know the life of western women or even those of eastern, except what I perceived or learned through media and books. And therefore, if I may write ideas that may contradict with those societies, let it be known that it is not meant to offence or disregard others; rather it is only out of pure intension of expressing myself. But still I will be happy to engage with any opposite views, as long as it is presented to me respectfully. Thank you!
